Citizens are informed of the queuing situation through a data screen of government services.
At the gate of Fuzhou Municipal Public Service Center, a screen shows the current processing data in real time. For example, the average queuing time is 12.31 minutes, and the average service time is 6.69 minutes. “They work so fast”, said Liu Xinyuan. Though visiting the center for the first time, Liu was assured seeing the real-time processing data on the screen.
The journalist learned that based on the function of government services data screen and features of services handled at the Fuzhou Municipal Administrative Service Center, the Public Service Center started to use this screen around the Spring Festival. Various data of “service environment” are shown on the screen, including the number of windows in service and waiting people, the average queuing time and the crowding degree in the recent month.
An official of Municipal Administrative Service(Public) Center said that compared with the Administrative Service Center, the Public Service Center has more visitors per day, so the data display of government services emphasizes more on “real time”. “The latest data of the number taking system are presented in real time for citizens to learn current situation and arrange their time better.”
Connected with windows’ evaluation system, the data screen also broadcasts ratings given by citizens when services are completed, so as to improve the service.
To bring more convenience to citizens, the Public Service Center also plans to subdivide the data of each window and present them on electronic screens inside the hall.
