A multitude of domestic and foreign leading enterprises and elites of digital economy have gathered together in Fuzhou for the 2^nd Digital China Summit. Yesterday, Yu Weiguo, Secretary of CPC Fujian Provincial Committee, and Tang Dengjie, Governor of Fujian Province, met with Ma Huateng, Chairman and CEO of Tencent, Zhang Yiming,  Founder and CEO of Bytedance and Xu Li, CEO of SenseTime at the riverside of West Lake. They held “zero-distance” in-depth talks. The Provincial Government also signed an cooperation agreement with SenseTime. Provincial leaders Wang Ning and Zheng Xincong attended the meeting.

Entrepreneurs shared frontier information of technology R&D and their valuable experiences. Their topics ranged from   R&D and prospect of AI technologies to intelligent application of e-government services, from increasing inclusiveness and support for digital products to  encouraging the application of more advanced digital technologies, from the sharing and joint construction of data to data security. In addition, They had in-depth discussions on the joint promotion of digital economy and reached consensus on establishing closer cooperation.

Yu Weiguo expressed gratitude to them, leaders of Internet and digital economy, for their support to Digital China construction and active participation in the Digital China Summit and Digital Fujian construction. He stated that Fujian’s digital economy has witnessed faster development and harvested rich fruits one year on since the first Digital China Summit. Fujian will earnestly put into practice President Xi’s important thought on building China’s strength in cyberspace and his guiding principles on Digital China construction. Fujian will make greater achievements at a new starting point. Yu pointed out that more efforts should be made to explore a sound communication and cooperation mechanism between government and enterprises. Hence, the two sides can join hands to promote public IT application to increase people’s sense of fulfillment, happiness and security. Yu told them that Fujian will open itself wider and welcome all types of digital enterprises to develop in Fujian. Fujian will do more to build a sound level playing field with better services. New cooperation modes can be developed and  expanded to more areas. He hopes that more digital industries and technologies can make exploration in Fujian first to let digital economy bloom and bear fruits.

Ma Huateng expressed that Tencent will continue to deepen cooperation with Fujian in projects related to people’s livelihood, e-government services, living consumption, production services, life health and environmental protection. Besides, Tencent will leverage its technological advantages to promote e-government services, contributing to the digital  transformation and upgrading.

Zhang Yiming stated that ByteDance will do justice to its platform advantages to introduce more diversified products meeting people’s needs, actively publicize Fujian, strengthen cooperation in talent cultivation and continuously deepen cooperation projects.

Xu Li said that SenseTime has the leading edge in AI technology R&D and intelligent city management. He hopes to apply and promote more new technological achievements in Fujian with faster speed to contribute to the goal of high quality development of Fujian.
